I have had plenty of experience cobbling together many small jobs to pay the bills as a yoga instructor and former food service worker. As the co-owner of my family’s boutique fitness studio, I understand how difficult it is to run on tight margins and manage your staff. My interest in HR and hospitality stems from a desire to help employees and employers see eye-to-eye and become stronger through mutual understanding.
My position with Stokes Wagner is a way to hone my skills in the hospitality world by learning about the struggles that organizations face daily and improve an eye for detail. Assisting with the preparation of cases provides fascinating insights into our clients and how they run their businesses. I love getting to know the industry through the documents—and honestly, I really enjoy a well-structured spreadsheet and consistently labeled files. More than that, I’ve been graciously welcomed into the fold by caring and patient people who are as happy to teach as I am eager to learn. My office is dedicated to their work, and their ethics are infectious.
Outside of the office, I live in the eternally charming Finger Lakes with my domestic partner and 24 freshwater fish. I enjoy complicated day-long cooking projects, artistic pursuits, and a chilled semi-dry local Riesling.
