Legal Secretary, Atlanta, GA
Education

B.A., Marketing, Georgia Southern University

I’m a creole, southern lady from the suburbs of Dunwoody, GA. I was born in St. Louis, Mo. My family moved to ATL in 1996, after the Olympics were held. I’ve been an Atlantan now for over 26 years! I began my professional career in 2013 after graduating from Georgia Southern University with a B.A. in Marketing, with concentrations in Business and Culture & Society, Spanish Minor.

I’ve always lived by the quote, “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” So, after several years in the personal finance industry, I decided it was time to trade in my briefcase for my bar key and enroll in bartending school. For one year, I bartended for various entities like Piedmont Driving Club, TPC Sugarloaf, Atlanta Athletic Club and other event halls through a staffing agency called MKN Enterprises. After I gained some months of bar experience, I applied for a bartender position at Cinco Mexican Cantina at Perimeter Mall. I loved making hand-crafted drinks, and working with people from all different ages and backgrounds! Being a bartender is an essential role in any full-service restaurant, so I was fulfilled in knowing that what I did mattered to the success of the business.

As of May 2022, I accepted my position as Legal Secretary with Stokes Wagner. The firm made me feel safe and like an important member of the SW Family. Now in my role as a Legal Secretary, at the font of the house, I utilize many skills I’ve kept tucked from the restaurant industry, such as multi-tasking and starting meaningful conversations.

In my adolescent years I was very active in extracurricular and social activities. I’m a music-lover and a hopeless romantic. On a non-busy, kid-free day, you would probably find me snuggled on my couch with my favorite chips with favorite rom-com or drama film on Hulu. I also enjoy attending music events, hosting events within the Atlanta Open Mic industry, and spending time with my daughter.

My favorite thing to do in the world is to eat freshly baked chocolate-chip cookies and milk! There is nothing like that moment of silence when your cookie is dunked in milk, the hot and cold temperatures, the sweet and savory part….need I say more?!

I’m powerful in everything that I do, from being a mother to finding the best solutions to administrative issues and marketing techniques. I am fluent in Spanish and hope to put my bilingual skills to good use with the firm and new clients.
